Working with Lara on our rug collaborations has been a wonderful experience for the Designer Rugs team. Lara creates beautiful contemporary artwork which has flexibility of design and color that lends itself to the woven form, making each collection we’ve worked on, nothing short of a success.

I was captivated by Lara’s style as soon as I saw her artworks for the first time. Immediately I started to wonder which clients I could introduce her work to. A perfect project came up so I visited Lara and was treated to a tour of her wonderfully creative studio space. While there, I surprised her with an on-the-spot request to video her speaking about the artwork I wanted to install in my client’s home. Lara very kindly agreed and when I showed it to my clients, they were blown away – not only by the description of the creative process but also by the personal touch. Lara generously arranged to have the artwork delivered to my client’s home while I was presenting to them and they loved it straight away and are now so proud to have it hanging in the center of their home. I can’t wait to install another stunning Lara Scolari artwork in a lucky client’s home.

We commissioned Lara to create several artworks for a corporate interiors project in North Sydney.  We wanted something that was strong, bold and striking for the reception and board room and Lara’s work was perfect. Lara was wonderful to work with, highly professional, supremely creative and met our tight deadline without any hesitation.  We would highly recommend her.

Lara’s great use of her techniques and artistic medium create beautiful artworks that feature abstract shapes and has a level of exquisite translucency, which inspires contemplation and reflection. If you look closely, you may even find a hidden diorama. Her works are highly popular in the Singapore fair as it engages the audience not only on an aesthetic level, but also with the depth of each work. Her colorful and captivating works reflect Lara’s highly energetic personality.
